Enthrone was formed by A.Väkeväinen along with J.Ahtonen in the middle of wilderness in Kuhmo, Finland in spring of 2001. Soon after foundation of the band had been laid, joined H.Väkeväinen the group. An half year later a trio was reinforced by a second guitarist M.Roivainen. In fall of 2002 last member of Enthrone, K.Immonen, was introduced to the line-up. Since that the core of Enthrone has remained the same.

Enthrone released it's first record, after a hard work in spring of 2004. "Abomination" was a grand triumph for the band. The edition of the record was sold out rather quickly. The members and the crew were more than pleased with the outcome. The future of the group looked bright. Enthrone had performed regularly in the region of Kainuu and new record was making it's way on the world. Everything was going more than well. Still in summer of 2004 Enthrone was put to the dockyards by joint decision.

In 2007 Enthrone was awoken from it's hibernation. For the first time in three years, Enthrone performed in front of live audience. The preparations for this event had been started a year earlier in summer of 2006, when Enthrone recorded brand new material. Enthrone had returned. After victorious rebirth, the group decided to book a studio in order to record new material. In December 2007 the band had at last time for studio.

In spring of 2008 Enthrone at last released long anticipated second recording "Amoral". "Amoral" introduced more sinister and heavier Enthrone than ever before. EP features three songs about the downsides of life and how twisted man can be.

In the future the band will release new material. And what comes to performing alive, Enthrone will do gigs when ever possible.

The musical roots of the band have been always in hard rock and heavy metal, although current expression is closer to grim style of metal. The members of the band do not want to characterize music of Enthrone in one way or the other. The band takes influenses to their music where ever they can be found.

"We'll let the audience to make up their own mind. We don't want to characterize our music in some already made-up sterotypical genre boundarys. We just play metal music. You'll be the judge, what kind of metal." -Enthrone
